Testimonials

When my son began this program I was unaware at how low my son’s self-esteem had fallen (with his weight gain). After a number of unsuccessful attempts at dieting I realised this only added to his feelings of ‘failure’. This program provided help, not only in areas of Nutrition and also the physical and mental wellbeing related to food/eating. With each passing week (and each kilo lost) I could see my son gaining confidence and showing an interest in physical activities. My only regret is that we hadn’t started this program sooner.

Ellie and Gai were positive, motivating and organised.

The course is absolutely fantastic. I love the way it focus on healthy lifestyle changes and exercise rather than actual weight loss.

Hamish and I were really fascinated with the visual effects of showing how much fat/sugar was in different products by showing them in bottles. Great handouts, information as well for the kids, the cup which shows portion sizes is very effective.

The exercise component is wonderful; it is fun and encourages the kids to move more. They don’t feel like they’re exercising as they’re having so much fun.

The Nutrition component of the course is great as well. Elle is really fun and vibrant and a positive influence on the kids. She is friendly and therefore not intimidating for the kids (especially as some of the subjects around food they don’t like to hear).

Having goal setting is effective and I know Hamish is looking forward to his reward and laser tag at the end.

Overall, the course is awesome. If anything, it has encouraged Hamish to think about keeping a healthy lifestyle, what he puts in his mouth and to do exercise. Keep moving.
